DON HIS OWN?

First lady Melania Trump might not move to the White House to join her president hubby Donald Trump

FIRST Lady Melania Trump might not join her hubbie Donald in the White House - instead opting to stay at their home in New York, according to claims.

Reports quoting a family insider say Melania may decide to stay at Trump Tower in Manhattan instead of moving to Washington DC to live with the new president.

“They will re-evaluate toward the end of the school year if they will keep this arrangement or if Melania and Barron will move to Washington,” the source told

“They could go either way right now. They will ultimately do what’s best for Barron.”

A long distance presidential relationship is unprecedented, and comes after Donald announced in November that Melania, 46, would be relocating to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

She and Barron, 10, were expected to join the president at the end of the school year, but the new comments have cast doubt on whether that is certain.

The 70-year-old previously said that not being around his wife and son did not leave him lonely, saying: "I end up working longer. And that’s OK.”

Barron attends the prestigious Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School in New York, which costs £31,000 a year.

The first couple will reportedly take turns travelling between the $100 million Trump Tower in Manhattan - where Barron has a whole floor to himself - and the White House.

“They’ll come down on weekends,” Trump told the New York Times.

The family source said: “Melania is actively building her team, including hiring a chief of staff, a senior adviser and a social secretary, among other key positions.

“While she is a mom first, she is very much embracing the role and responsibilities of first lady.”

Trump - who married third wife Melania in 2005 - has five children, the eldest of whom is Donald Junior, 38, followed by Ivanka, 35; Eric, 32; Tiffany, 23; and Barron, 10.
