London finance worker pocketed £29.3 MILLION bonus in 2015, bigger than anyone else in Europe
An amazing 4,000 people pocketed bonuses of over a million euros in Britain in 2015, also the most in Europe
A CITY worker trousered a £29.3million bonus in 2015, one of the biggest ever given in the UK.
The unnamed money whiz worked as an asset manager in London’s financial district.
His payout was bigger than anyone else’s in Europe that year.
Britain also paid the most bonuses of one million euros (£862,000) in 2015.
Some 4,133 pocketed this sum or more, according to figures released yesterday by the European Banking Authority.
There were fewer big earners in Europe.
Germany had 279 landing one million euro bonuses, France 178 and Ireland 26.
The total number of those getting such payouts jumped by 33 per cent to 5,142 in 2015.
But they declined in Hungary, Finland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway and Poland.
