RAF serviceman arrested in Majorca accused of raping Brit holidaymaker in Magaluf hotel after meeting her at bar
AN RAF serviceman has been arrested in Majorca after being accused of raping a British holidaymaker in a hotel after meeting her at a bar.
The 27-year-old suspect was hauled into court in handcuffs this afternoon after being held overnight in a police cell.
He is thought to have been on the island with his pals for a rugby tournament when the alleged sex attack happened.
His female accuser, thought to be a 21-year-old, told police he had forced himself on her at a hotel as he ripped her dress off.
She then accused him of forcing her to perform a sex act on him before raping her.
The pair first met earlier in the day at a bar in the party resort and had spent most of the day together on the beach.

The alleged sex attack is said to have happened around 5am on Monday on a terrace at the hotel.
Civil Guard officers discovered the identity of the suspect hours after the formal complaint was first made.
A hearing is now set to take place behind closed doors to see if the unnamed suspect should stay in custody or be released pending an ongoing criminal probe.
The accuser was examined in a regular forensic medical examination after her claims were heard.
The Civil Guard is yet to make any official comment.
A well-placed source said: “He was in Majorca on holiday with a group of rugby players who had come to the island to take part in an event.
“He was arrested shortly before he boarded his flight back to the UK.”
A second source on the island said the man was a serving member of the UK armed forces.
He is thought to have been born abroad but living in Britain.
A Royal Air Force spokesperson told The Sun: “It would be inappropriate to comment while investigations are ongoing.”
