Woman, 24, dies in horror crash as devastated family pay tribute to ‘amazing girl’
TRIBUTES have been paid to an "amazing" and "special" woman who died in a car crash.
Abbey Elgey, 24, died after a white BMW and a black Audi collided in North Frodingham, East Yorkshire, at around 8pm on May 5.
Emergency services attended the scene on Frodingham Road but Abbey and an unnamed man, who was also involved in the collision, died at the scene.
Abbey's family have now paid tribute to her, describing her as an "amazing" person who will be missed by her family and her dog Bruno.
They said: "Abbey was such a sociable person and loved being around her friends.
"She particularly loved walking her beloved dog Bruno, and not a single day will go by where we all won't miss her infectious smile.

"Abbey was an amazing daughter, sister, partner, and friend and we, along with her dog Bruno, will miss her more than we could ever begin to put into words.
"We are truly heartbroken."
Friends paid tribute to Abbey, of Driffield, East Yorkhire, on social media, describing her as a "special girl" who was "gorgeous and crazy".
One person posted: "I don't even know where to start you were one in a billion.

"I've never loved anyone like I loved you.
"You was my everything and I will never ever forget you Abs.
"You rocked my world from the moment we met."
Another person said: "My special girl, how am I never gunna see you again?"
Someone else said: "I hate to write this because it makes it seem so much more real.
"Rest in peace to my childhood friend, all the way back from Northfield School.
"Fly high Abbey, you'll always have a special place in my heart, I love you so much my gorgeous, crazy girl."
Humberside Police said the crash happened at around 8pm on May 5.

They said the full circumstances of the collision are being investigated.
Detectives are appealing for anyone that witnessed the collision, or has any CCTV or dashcam footage from this time and area, to get in touch.
