Intruder tries to break into Drake’s house before being tackled a day after shooting hospitalized star’s security guard
AN intruder tried to break into Drake's Toronto mansion on Wednesday afternoon and fought with security guards before being arrested.
The Toronto Police Service confirmed to The U.S. Sun a person tried to gain access to the property in the lavish neighborhood of The Bridle Path.
According to preliminary evidence, the attack seems to have been a drive-by shooting.
It's unclear if Drake - real name Aubrey Graham - was home at the time, but police said he and his team were cooperating with the investigation.
A bird's-eye-view image of Drake's home, often referred to as The Embassy, was used in the cover art of Kendrick Lamar's latest single Not Like Us.
It is the fourth diss track directed at Drake by Lamar as part of the two's ongoing feud, which has escalated since March.
In the song, Lamar made many accusations against Drake and his inner circle and hinted that more tracks were to come.
Drake responded with The Heart Part 6, denying the allegations made by Lamar and saying that his team fed Lamar false information.
Despite this, there is nothing that proves that the feud has any correlation to the incidents at Drake's home.
The Bridle Path is the wealthiest neighborhood in Canada and is often called Millionaires Row.
Drake's mansion is believed to have cost an estimated $100 million.
'TOO PERSONAL'
Drake and Lamar's feud has been widely talked about in recent weeks with Stephen A. Smith throwing his two cents into the mix.
The First Take star addressed the beef on Monday's episode of the sports debate show on ESPN.
Smith and Shannon Sharpe appeared in remote locations with host Christine Williamson filling in for Molly Qerim.
Drake and Kendrick Lamar Beef
On October 6, 2023, Drake and J. Cole released First Person Shooter, in which J. Cole claimed that himself, Drake, and Kendrick are the “big three” of hip-hop.
On March 22, 2024, Kendrick responded to the claim of a "big three" in his verse on Metro Boomin and Future’s song Like That, where he instead stated, “It’s just big me," and accused both rappers of sneak dissing.
On April 5, 2024, J. Cole dropped his Kendrick diss track, 7 Minute Drill, in which he fired “warning shots” at the rapper as he accused the good kid, m.A.A.d city artist of seeking “attention” and slammed his latest music releases as “tragic.”
But on April 7, 2024, two days after releasing the Kendrick diss, J. Cole retracted his statement and backed out of the feud, as he stated he felt pressured to respond because “the world wanna see blood.”
On April 13, 2024, Drake responded to Kendrick with Push Ups, which had lyrics ridiculing Kendrick's height and his mainstream collaborations with Taylor Swift and Maroon 5.
The track also dissed rappers Future and Rick Ross and producer Metro Boomin.
On April 19, 2024, Drake dropped another diss track, Taylor Made Freestyle, that used AI-generated voices of Snoop Dogg and the late Tupac Shakur to pressure Kendrick to respond.
On April 30, 2024, Kendrick dropped Euphoria, a six-minute diss track, in which he criticized Drake’s biracial identity, questioned the rapper’s ability as a father, and claimed that Drake is a “scam artist."
On May 1, 2024, Drake responded to Kendrick's diss by posting a clip from the 1999 film 10 Things I Hate About You on his Instagram Story in which Julia Stiles’ character Kat lists the reasons she hates Heath Ledger’s character Patrick - mirroring a Euphoria bar where Lamar provides reasons he hates Drake.
On May 3, 2024, Kendrick dropped a second Drake diss track, 6:16 in LA in which Kendrick alleges Drake’s own team is working against him as he rapped, “Everyone inside your team is whispering that you deserve it,” and stated Drake “can't Toosie Slide up out of this one."
After Drake responded with his diss track Family Matters, where he accused Kendrick of infidelity, the Humble hitmaker released Meet the Grahams, his fourth diss track against the Canadian rapper.
Less than a day later, Lamar released Not Like Us, accusing Drake and members of his inner circle of explicit crimes.
The cover art for the track used a satellite image of Drake's home in Toronto.
Drake then released The Heart Part 6, denying the accusations Lamar made while also alleging that Lamar was involved in a domestic dispute with his fiancée.
Many have named Lamar as the winner of the feud but it is unclear if more diss tracks will follow.
As the three discussed Tom Brady's Netflix roast on Sunday, Smith decided to give his opinion on the feud.
"Kendrick Lamar ... Drake ... Stop!" he told the Grammy-winning rappers.
"It's getting too personal ... Stop it.
