The maths teacher had a baby with one of the pupils, Boy B, after beginning a relationship when he was aged 15, jurors heard.

This then progressed into a sexual relationship when he turned 16, with the pair allegedly sleeping together around 30 times after she took his virginity.

During his evidence, Boy B today told Manchester Crown Court how he tried to end the relationship after believing Joynes was "emotionally abusing" him.

He said: "Towards the end I pretty much went bipolar. It's such a relief not having to worry about messaging someone or watching my words.

"When [I was] in it I knew what it was, I knew it was wrong.

"I would try and end it and would say 'you are a f***ing weirdo, you're a nonce basically, go find someone your own age'.

"Then I would calm down and feel bad about it and go back to her. She would say things like she didn't want to be here anymore, then go on a walk or a drive and it would mess with my head as I was worried about her."

Boy B told the court Joynes sent him a photo of her bum while wearing a pair of knickers after they first began speaking on Snapchat.

He said: "As a 16-year-old lad I thought I was in there."

The boy told jurors he asked Joynes if they could meet up and ended up going round to her flat in Salford.

He claimed it was "quite awkward at first" as she was double his age but they then shared a kiss.

The boy said Joynes said she wasn't sure if they should kiss before he had left school, but he told the court they carried on and had sex in her bed.

He alleges they later went on to have sex at least 30 times in "numerous different places".

The boy also claimed Joynes told him it was “nearly impossible” for her to get pregnant because she had polycystic ovary syndrome.

But he recalled how the teacher broke the news to him on "date night".

He said she had ordered pizza and scattered rose petals and an Ann Summers scratchcard of sexual activities around her flat.

She then presented him with a babygrow that said "I love my daddy to the moon and back".

Boy B told the court he reacted by saying: “What the f**k?”

He said Joynes was crying and told him "I don’t know if I can do this on my own".

The boy also claimed she would tell him she had "no one" and begged him not to cut contact with her.

During one argument where Joynes believed he was with another girl, she allegedly told him: "I swear to God, if I lose this baby it’s because of you.”

Boy B said: "She started getting more controlling.

“When I think about it, it was mental abuse. It was mental warfare.”

He told the court he eventually realised their relationship was “wrong” and told her: “You need help, you’re a nonce. You should find someone your own age, you’re pretty enough.”

He added that he’d spent 18-months of his life “with a paedophile”.

Joynes, who wears a pink baby's bonnet tucked into her trousers, wiped away tears as he added: "I have also thought about the future of my child. I want the best for my child as well."

Boy B also said he was aware Joynes had been arrested and bailed over allegations relating to the first student, named as Boy A.

The court heard yesterday how Joynes had first "groomed" Boy A, who was then 15, by taking him shopping at Selfridges.

Joynes then allegedly bought him a £345 Gucci belt before taking him home in her white Audi where they had sex twice.

He claimed Joynes had laughed and told him to "shut up" when he mentioned his age to her.

The pair then allegedly went back to her flat and had unprotected sex, with Boy A telling his teacher: "I hope to God you don't get pregnant."

Messages allegedly shared between Joynes and the teen were also read to the court.

In one exchange, they joked about another pupil joining them before Boy A tells his teacher he should be "the only one".

Joynes responded: "Obviously it’s only you.”

police investigation was launched in October 2021 and she was subsequently arrested and bailed on the condition she did not contact any child under 18.
