WOKE teachers will be brought to heel this week with a sex education clampdown.
Gillian Keegan is to issue guidelines to schools on Thursday following a backlash from parents over what children are taught.
The Education Secretary will make clear that gender ideology — that people can be born the wrong sex — must be taught as a “contested belief” rather than as fact.
It will also order schools to show parents all classroom material to ensure that they are comfortable with what is being taught.
Rishi Sunak ordered the review into relationships, sex and health education lessons last year in response to claims content was age-inappropriate, extreme and sexualising.
Tory MP Miriam Cates told the PM that pupils were being taught there were 72 genders, as well as being shown graphic lessons on oral sex.

Ahead of the guidance, she told The Sun last night: “For too long activist groups have been pushing a politically motivated agenda on children under the cover of RSHE.
“The Cass Review shows how dangerous it is to let ideology overtake facts.
“We need compulsory guidance to restore common sense and the rights of parents to know what their children are being taught.”
Minister Esther McVey is also banning civil servants from wearing rainbow lanyards.
