Inside Canada’s bizarre ‘Poop Cafe’ where everything from the food to the furniture is poo themed
Hungry customers can enjoy an array of fresh dishes while sitting on the loo - chairs made from old toilets
THIS bizarre cafe in Canada reckons their toilets are clean enough to eat off by serving up their food urinal-shaped bowls.
Poop Cafe Dessert Bar, dubbed Toronto's first toilet-themed dessert bar, also offers tasty emoji poop treats and drinks in novelty loo mugs.
Images captured in the poop-themed cafe, which opened last October, show toilet seats at every table, poop decor and poop facts on the walls of the restaurant.
Hungry customers can enjoy an array of Thai, Japanese, and Korean desserts served up in a toilet, urinal, bath tub or old squat toilets while sitting on the loo - chairs made from old toilets.
While the idea of eating out of a toilet may not appeal to most of us, the cafe is proving popular with visitors.
One customer reviewer wrote on Poop Café's Facebook page: "The day I went the bathroom was pretty smelly. Don't know if that was apart of the theme, but it was great.
"Spent a little more time just breathing in the atmosphere! I farted a few times to make it smell authentic."
Lien Nguyen, owner of the Poop Café Dessert Bar, told the she wanted to "make poop cute" and hopes "people will change their minds about poo".
She apparently got the idea to open the poop-themed joint when she visited a restaurant called "Modern Toilet" in Taiwan.
She said: “It stayed in my mind for a long time. As soon as I finished school, I said, ‘OK, I’m going to bring the restaurant to Toronto.’”
Last year, a bizarre cafe opened in China where waitresses dress up in French maid outfits and hand-feed customers.
Curious coffee-lovers travelled from all corners of Hangzhou, capital of East China’s Zhejiang Province, to get a taste of the “maid cafe” experience.
