Israel recovers body of kidnapped Shani Louk and two other hostages 7 months after they were snatched from Nova festival
About 100 hostages are still being held captive in Gaza, says Israel
ISRAEL has discovered the body of Shani Louk alongside two other hostages inside the Gaza Strip.
German tattoo artist Shani Louk was a victim of the October 7 massacre by Hamas when she was kidnapped from the Nova festival.
Israeli Defence Forces spokesman Daniel Hagari shared the tragic news today and said hostages Amit Buskila and Itzhak Gelerenter were also found in the Strip.
He confirmed that all three were killed by Hamas terrorists during the music festival slaughter on October 7 and their bodies taken to Gaza.
German-Israeli Shani, 22, was last seen in harrowing footage of Hamas terrorists parading her body on the pack of a pickup truck.
The disturbing images shocked the world as news of the early morning ambush broke.
Shani became associated with the hundreds of hostages taken into Gaza as her family pleaded for her to be released.
Israel’s military did not provide specific details on where the three victims bodies’ were found on Friday.
Shani, 28-year-old Amit, and 56-year-old Itzhak were among 1,200 people brutally murdered by Hamas on October 7.
Militants abducted about 250 others in the unprecedented attack.
Half of those taken and dragged to Gaza have since been freed, most in swaps for Palestinian prisoners held by Israel during a week-long ceasefire in November.
But about 100 hostages remain captive in Gaza, along with the bodies of about 30 others, according to Israel.
Shani, Amit, and Itzhak were at dance music festival Supernova when Hamas unleashed terror on Israel last year, its militants opening fire on festivalgoers as part of a coordinated attack.
Horrific video released at the time showed militants jeering and spitting on Shani as she lay in the back of a pick-up truck.
The savages claimed she was an Israeli soldier.
Shani’s cousin Tomasina Weintraub-Louk told that the family knew the woman in the video was “definitely Shani” as she had the same distinctive leg tattoos and dreadlocks.
Tomasina said: “She was at a music festival for peace. This is a nightmare for our family.”
In October, Shani’s mother and sister confirmed their daughter and sister had died.
Mum Ricarda told NTV: “Unfortunately we got the news yesterday that my daughter is no longer alive,” as Adi announced: “It is with great sadness that we announce the death of my sister.”
