Urgent manhunt for crowbar-wielding robber who tied up couple in raid as cops release photo
Cops revealed Gani's words to the terrified couple
AN urgent manhunt has been launched for a convicted robber who tied up a couple in a raid.
Cops have renewed their appeal to help find Abdul Rashid David Gani, 34, who is wanted on recall to prison.
The appeal was first published in December last year, with cops urging the public not to approach Gani.
He is described as black, around 5ft 9ins tall, of muscular build, with short black hair and a beard.
In 2017 Gani and two other thugs donned balaclavas to terrorise a couple in their rural Somerset home.
He wielded a crowbar as the couple were tied up during the £25,000 raid.
Gani told the terrified couple: “We’ve been sent. We’ve got to do you.”
The robber, of no fixed address, was jailed for eight years after admitting his part in the burglary.
Cops said Gani has links to south and central Bristol – but is believed to have recently travelled to Birmingham and Scotland.
