A WOULD-BE child abuser who was awaiting sentence after being snared by vigilante paedo hunters has been found dead in prison.
Ricky Slade, 30, was caught on film intending to meet a 10-year-old girl in Nottingham by members of The Hunted One in November.
The paedo had engaged in online chats with who he thought were young girls before he was snared by the vigilantes in November 2016.
Slade admitted three counts of attempting to incite a girl to engage in sexual activity at Nottingham Crown Court in December last year.
The charges related to offences committed between November 1 and 20, and May 29 and June 8 in 2016.

Slade was due to be sentenced in January but did not attend court and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
He was arrested and remanded in custody at HMP Nottingham where he died on Friday.
He was due to be sentenced on February 16 and was told to expect a jail term.
A Prison Service spokeswoman said: "HMP Nottingham prisoner Ricky Slade died in custody on Friday 3 February.
"As with all deaths in custody there will be an independent investigation by the Prisons and Probation Ombudsman."
In a statement released following Slade's death, The Hunted One said: "We would like to send our heartfelt sympathies to the family of Ricky Slade at this difficult time.
"Our team are deeply shocked to learn of this incident.
"Out of respect to his family, we will be removing all posts in relation to this case."
