British Airways flight from London Heathrow skids off runway during landing at Billund Airport in Denmark in icy conditions
BA said a 'technical issue' was behind drama that saw flight BA804 slide off course

A BRITISH Airways plane dramatically skidded off a runway as it landed in icy conditions.
Flight BA804 from London Heathrow slid off the tarmac at Billund Airport in Denmark — as passengers were told of a "hydraulics and brakes failure".
A BA spokesperson told The Sun that a "technical issue" was behind the drama on the 7.35am flight which landed at 9:06am local time on Tuesday.
The company has insisted the Airbus A319, which carries up to 160 travellers, landed "normally" and slid as it taxied slowly to the terminal.
Passenger David Edwards, 44, told The Sun: "We were taxiing along the runway and all of a sudden the plane slewed to the left.
"The next thing I noticed was the engines sounded like they were working really hard.
"Snow was being kicked up off the ground before the pilot shut the engines down.
"We were told the wheels had a hydraulics and brakes failure — the steering and brakes completely failed."

Mr Edwards, a management consultant, also told of how the pilot behaved with "typical British understatement".
"When we stopped on the grass the captain told us: 'You may have noticed we're in a slightly unusual place'."
He added that a few passengers looked concerned during the drama but that "it all happened fairly slowly"
Passengers were then taken off the back of the plane.
He said: "It was a pretty eventful start to the day".
