Shannon Matthews’ paedo stepdad Craig Meehan living in new home with bedroom that looks on to childrens’ playground
SHANNON Matthews' pervert stepdad Craig Meehan has been moved to a home with a view of a children's playground.
The paedophile's bedroom window overlooks a small fun area within a large park, frequented by local youngsters, which includes a slide and bouncing equipment.
Meehan - who is living under an alias - has been moved several times since being jailed for possessing child pornography and placed on the Sex Offender's Register.
Neighbours in the drab street have no idea of Meehan's shady past and connection to Britain's most hated mum Karen Matthews.
His immediate next door neighbour, a middle-aged woman, said: “He hasn’t lived there for long. He keeps himself to himself, you’d hardly know he was there.
"He doesn’t go out much and I don’t think he works. Sometimes he goes down to the shops and if I see I just say hello, that’s all.”
When our reporter approached Meehan’s home, which has a brown wooden fence and drawn net curtains at the window, a woman answering claimed he didn’t live there.
When asked to speak to him, she said: “Who’s asking?” Then she said unconvincingly: “I’ve never heard of him and he doesn’t live here or hasn’t lived here.”
Meehan’s sister Amanda Hyett, who lives less than three miles away, said simply: “I’m not in contact with Craig. I have no idea where he is.”
The most recent move is Meehan's fifth since being convicted of child sex offences in 2008.
