HUNDREDS of commuters are stuck at London Euston station after a signal failure - with rail bosses warning of two-hour delays.

Trains to and from Euston were disrupted on Wednesday due to a fault with the signalling system in Watford.

Avanti West Coast was disrupted between London Euston and Wolverhampton, Crewe, Manchester Piccadilly and Edinburgh.

London Northwestern Railway was disrupted between London Euston and Tring, Milton Keynes Central, Birmingham New Street and Crewe.

Lines later reopened following the points failure at Watford Junction.

But trains through the station were still being cancelled, severely delayed by up to two hours or revised.

Fed-up commuter Andrew Dowd tweeted: "This is Avanti West Coast for you.

"Absolute chaos at Euston with no idea which trains are running, delayed or cancelled.

"No information at all and no guarantee they can get me home tonight.

"But yeah, you stick to your ticketing rules chaps. Profit first, passengers last."

London Euston said: "Trains to and from Euston are disrupted this evening due to a fault with our signalling system in Watford.

"Our engineers are on site & working to fix the issue. Please check the National Rail website. for the latest journey info."

A spokesperson for the station added: "We’re really sorry to passengers affected."
