A PRISON officer has appeared in court accused of having sex with an inmate in an X-rated video filmed in a jail cell.

The 30-year-old appeared at Uxbridge Magistrates' Court today charged with misconduct in public office.
She spoke only to confirm her name, date of birth and address during the hearing.
The court was told De Sousa Abreu was arrested at Heathrow Airport where she was due to catch a flight to Madrid.
She had notified the prison of her travel plans, it was said.

The mum was bailed on the condition she does not enter any UK travel ports and will be subject to a curfew between 7pm and 9am.
She will next appear at Isleworth Crown Court on July 29 for a plea hearing.
The charge states that, between June 26 and 28, the prison officer "wilfully and without reasonable excuse or justification misconducted yourself in a way which amounted to an abuse of the public's trust in the office holder by engaging in a sexual act with a Prisoner in a prison cell".
The Met Police launched an investigation on Friday "after officers were made aware of a video allegedly filmed inside HMP Wandsworth".

De Sousa Abreu was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office the same day.
The married woman is originally from Brazil and shares an OnlyFans account with her husband.
A Prison Service spokesman said: “Staff corruption is not tolerated and the former prison officer allegedly featured in this video has been reported to the police.
"It would be inappropriate to comment further while they investigate.”
