DONALD Trump showed his softer side as he walked hand-in-hand with his adorable grandchildren after a turbulent week in the White House.
The US President larked about with the youngsters on south lawn of the White House before boarding the Marine One helicopter.
Arabella and Joseph Kushner, the children of Trump's daughter Ivanka and her husband Jared, skipped alongside their granddad waving nervously at photographers.
Five-year-old Arabella and her brother, three, were dressed for the chilly weather in boots and winter coats.
The three crossed the south lawn to the helicopter, where Trump saluted a marine and helped the youngsters board.

Ivanka, wearing a long white coat, followed with husband Jared.
The family made a brief stop at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland before boarding Air Force One and making their way to South Carolina where the president is due to unveil the new 787-10 Dreamliner.
Trump earlier tweeted: "Going to Charleston, South Carolina, in order to spend time with Boeing and talk jobs! Look forward to it."
It has been a turbulent week for the President, culminating in a bizarre, ranting 77-minute press conference yesterday.
Earlier in the week, which saw a series of leaks from intelligence agencies, Trump fired his national security adviser for lying to the vice president.
During yesterday's conference he repeatedly hit out at the "out of control media" rebranding fake news "very fake news".
But, he told reporters he was expecting a huge crowd at a rally in Florida on Saturday as he claimed his ratings were at 55 per cent and soaring.
