A UKIP member has been seen urinating on an elderly woman's fence before trying to force his way into her house.
CCTV footage shows the flat-cap wearing door-knocker relieving himself in Stoke just days before a crucial by-election in the city.
Cops are now investigating after the man tried to force his way into Marjorie Pinches' house when she came to the door,
When the 73-year-old widow came out to confront the disgraced campaigner he asked her if he could come in to use her toilet.
Ukip has apologised for their member's behaviour by explaining he was "caught short" but added they will not be taking any action.
The party said he is "embarrassed enough" and is a "78-year-old with prostate problems".
Great-grandmother Marjorie, who lives alone, told the paper: "I automatically put the cameras on before I opened the front door, I always do.

"I saw this man who had put the leaflet through.
"After he did that I saw him having a good look round the side of my and then started to urinate up my fence.
"I went out and had a word with him and then before I could shut my front door, he put his foot on the step and he was saying he wanted to use my toilet.
"I said - 'you are not coming in' and then he had got his shoulder in the door and was pushing, trying to get in.
"The door was pushing on my leg and it was painful."
The party member, who has not been named, said: "I am truly, truly sorry for the upset I caused this resident. I can only apologise. It's very embarrassing and I can only pass on my deep regret."
Grandmother of 12 Marjorie has said she is now a lot more wary of answering the front door, and added: "It's been almost five years since I lost my husband and I am very dubious about opening the door, that's why I have got these cameras."
Majorie, who has three children, has handed the CCTV footage to police.
Her son Steve Pinches, who owns a security company, installed the camera at the house several years ago.
The 41-year-old rushed to his mum's house after the altercation.
He said: "She was really flustered and distressed when I got there.
"I am just disgusted really, it should not happen.
"Even if he was nothing to do with UKIP and just and individual, it still definitely should not have happened."
UKIP chairman Paul Oakden said: "He was embarrassed enough to be caught short, even more so that he was seen.
"We are not going to take punitive action against a 78-year-old member with prostate problems.
"We are of course very sorry that this happened and pass the resident our sincere apologies."
A UKIP spokesman added: "A 78-year-old party member who recently had hospital treatment for prostate problems was caught short while out leafleting. He found what he thought was a quiet alleyway and relieved himself.
"However, a local resident saw him and was understandably annoyed. The member was mortified and tried to apologise."
The video has emerged after UKIP was mocked for tweeting a photo of supporters supposedly campaigning in Stoke-on-Trent - when the photo was actually taken in Bolton.
