DRIVERS spend 32 hours a year stuck in peak-time traffic jams in the UK — and we have Europe’s third worst congestion.
The cost of hold-ups was £968 per motorist.
Congestion was most severe in London, the seventh worst city out of more than 1,000 analysed.
Next in the UK was Manchester, Aberdeen and Birmingham.

Total UK vehicle miles last year were 320.5bn, a 1.2 per cent rise on 2015.
The RAC Foundation said: “Congestion is a high price to pay for having a successful economy. The risk is that gridlock starts to strangle growth.”
It called for more roads and better traffic management. The Department for Transport said investment in roads was at its highest since the 1970s.
