Property developer faces jail over links to Breaking-Bad obsessed drugs network which dyed their crystal meth blue to mimic hit show

Mehdi Rezougbertin was found with the drug after meeting a chemsex kingpin in a swanky hotel

A PROPERTY developer linked to a Breaking Bad-inspired crystal meth racket run by a chemsex kingpin and his rugby star brother is facing jail.

Mehdi Rezougbertin, 30, was caught with 210g of crystal meth and a stun gun disguised as a torch after he met Italian drugs baron Alessandro Bocchini at a swanky hotel.

Police raiding his room also found a stash of cutting agents, mini blowtorches, plastic 'snap bags', and a host of prescription drugs including Viagra and Tramadol.

CCTV from the Double Tree Hilton Hotel in Kensington, west London, captured the Frenchman meeting chemsex kingpin Bocchini while carrying suitcases thought to be filled with more than £55,000 worth of drugs.

Prosecutors claim he played a"significant part" in Bocchini's drugs network, which raked in millions from stashing crystal meth in luxury hotels and ferrying it around London by Uber drivers acting as couriers.

Bocchini and his wife Justine, 36, were jailed for six and four years after a police raid uncovered hoards of meth, MDMA, and £12,210 at their Bayswater home.

The couple had dyed the crystal meth blue like fictional drug baron Walter White did in the cult TV show Breaking Bad.

Alessandro's brother Lorenzo, a former rugby star who played for Italian club sides L'Aquila and Viadana between 2000 and 2010, was jailed for six years last month for his role dealing meth.

Rezougbertin admitted conspiracy to supply Class A drugs, possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, and possession of a prohibited firearm at Southwark Crown Court.

Prosecutor Michael Edmond said: "During the morning of 11 October this defendant extended his stay at the hotel, he requested a large room.

"He was seen carrying in large suitcases which the crown say contained the significant, very significant, quantities of Class A drugs.

"The police executed a warrant at 5.40pm on 11 October in room 614."

He added that he Rezougbertin was "undoubtedly in a significant role" in the chemsex network.

Thomas Davidson, defending, likened Rezougbertin's descent into what he branded "the gay scene" to the paintings of English satirist William Hogarth.

He said: "The fall from grace of this young man could have been portrayed by Hogarth you honour.

"He comes from a respectable French family, from Bordeaux.

"He had his own business from France and in this country involved in property.

"But he is a homosexual. He is HIV positive and has been for some years, but that is controlled with retroviral drugs.

"He says that about a year ago he was diagnosed with Hepatitis C and he went into a downward spiral.

"He got involved in what is known I think colloquially as 'the gay scene' which apparently involves prodigious sex and copious quantities of drugs."

The lawyer accepted Rezougbertin must have known he was involved in a "large-scale operation", but said his client claimed he made no financial gain and was unaware that the stun gun was in the hotel room.

Rezougbertin, of Bayswater, was remanded in custody ahead of sentence at Southwark Crown Count on 31 March.

Det Insp Stephen Payne, of Omega squad, previously compared the drug network to Breaking Bad.

He said: "It was like the 'Breaking Bad' scenario. These were professional people who made a choice to go into this venture. They were not career criminals but were looking for an opportunity to make money out of nothing.

"They lived a high-roller, Breaking Bad lifestyle, not really knowing what to do with the cash. They even seemed to adopt the Breaking Bad signature of dying their crystal meth blue."
