Storm Doris fails to dampen spirits as hilarious Brits post Twitter images showing ‘devastation’ of weather bomb

STORM Doris is wreaking havoc across the UK this morning, leading to commuter chaos and severe weather warnings.

But that hasn't stopped well-humoured Brits on Twitter from poking fun at our dramatic fascination over the weather.

One Brit posted a picture of their garden chair tipped over by the gusts, but vowed: "We will rebuild" - and others followed suit.

The storm has left the UK with flooding, power cuts and debris on roads thanks to its 90mph gale-force winds.

Torrential rain and snow are also battering the country.

Flooding on the M5 caused delays in the Midlands, with surface water causing congestion on the northbound carriageway between junction 1 and junction 3 near West Bromwich.

Commuters are being warned not to make unnecessary journeys with flights grounded and speed limits imposed on trains.

An amber severe weather warning has now been extended to London with forecasters warning of very strong winds which could blow down trees, causing flying debris and damage buildings.

People coming into and out of St Pancras are facing delays until 12pm after overhead wires in St Albans were blown down.

And during her reporting on Good Morning Britain today, Juliet Dunlop nearly got blown away.

She said: “I’m actually just struggling to keep my feet. We are certainly in the path of Doris.
