Pensioner, 88, arrested on suspicion of murder after ‘suspicious’ death of woman in her 80s

AN 88-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the "suspicious" death of a woman in her 80s.

An investigation has been launched after emergency services were called to a house in Padstow at 1.30pm on Wednesday, where the woman was found.

The man remains in custody where he is being quizzed by cops.

The woman has not been formally identified, but next of kin have been informed.

Devon and Cornwall Police appealing to anyone who may information about the incident to contact them on 101.
