British Airways cabin crew announce seven more days of strikes in row over pay – bringing total to 26
BA cabin crew have announced a further seven days of strikes, bringing the total number planned to 26.
The mixed fleet, who work on both short and long haul flights, will walk out in further strikes, union Unite has said.
The latest strikes to be announced will run from 12.01am on Friday March 3 to 11.59pm on Thursday March 9, as part of an ongoing pay dispute which has seen a series of walkouts.
The same British Airways workers are currently in the middle of a walkout, which is scheduled to end on Saturday.
Last week they claimed they were so badly paid they couldn't afford to buy proper meals and often slept in their cars.
Unite national officer Oliver Richardson said: “Striking mixed fleet cabin crew continue to demonstrate their determination to achieve a fair deal on pay in the face of British Airways’ bully boy tactics.

“It is clear from today’s £2 billion rise in IAG’s pre-tax profits that British Airways can afford to address low pay among its mixed fleet cabin crew and settle this dispute.
“We would urge British Airways to meet Unite at Acas to resolve this dispute, as it claims to want to, and enable us to cancel these further damaging strike days.”
A spokesperson for BA said: "We have flown all customers to their destinations during the previous strikes by Mixed Fleet Unite and we will ensure this happens again.
"We will publish more details next week once we have finalised our contingency plans.
"Our pay offer for Mixed Fleet crew is consistent with the deal accepted by 92 per cent of colleagues across the airline, most of whom are represented by Unite.
"It also reflects pay awards given by other companies in the UK and will ensure that rewards for Mixed Fleet remain in line with those for cabin crew at our airline competitors."
