ELON Musk has been challenged to a fight by Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, who called the tech billionaire the country's new arch-enemy.
The bizarre challenge was issued by Maduro during a nationally televised press conference after Musk accused the Venezuelan president of mass election fraud.
Maduro, 61, controversially won a reelection bid after earning 51 percent of the country's votes on Saturday, according to Venezuela's National Electoral Council.
The Venezuelan president has become increasingly unpopular in the country since taking power 11 years ago.
The South American country's economy has shrunk by 80 percent in a decade, and has experienced massive hyperinflation and skyrocketing poverty.
Following Saturday's results, Musk accused Maduro of "major election fraud."
"Maduro, leave! Venezuelans chose to end the communist dictatorship of Nicolas Maduro," the Tesla CEO ranted in an post.
"The data announce a crushing victory of the opposition, and the world is waiting for you to recognize the defeat after years of socialism, misery, decadence and death."
'LET'S FIGHT, WHEREVER YOU WANT'
Musk's online rant caught the attention of Maduro, who called the billionaire founder a threat to the country and then issued his invitation to fight.
“Social media creates a virtual reality, and who controls the virtual reality? Our new archenemy, the famous Elon Musk,” Maduro said.

"He's desperate. He wants to come with his rockets and an army to invade Venezuela," the South American leader alleged.
"Elon Musk thank goodness you showed your face because we knew you were behind everything with your money, with your satellites. He intends to control the world.
"He took to Twitter, as we used to call it, with some images of people taking some boxes, and it turns out it came from a video out there, of people carrying air conditioners.
"So, he said, 'The proof against Maduro that he stole the election. The boxes that were stolen from the CNE (National Electoral Council).'"
Maduro continued, "Elon Musk, you're desperate, control yourself.
"Elon Musk, whoever messes with me fails. Whoever messes with Venezuela fails.
"You want a fight? I'm ready, Elon Musk. I'm the son of Bolivar and Chavez. I'm not afraid of you, Elon Musk.
"Let's fight, then. Wherever you want. As we say in neighborhoods in Caracas, if you want, I want Elon Musk. Say where."
Musk to the apparent slugfest invitation on Wednesday, by saying, "I accept."
Many X users have expressed their shock at the declaration.

Many users have already taken sides in the hypothetical fight.

Maduro's challenge to Musk comes after it was reported that a former Green Beret who was also a security guard for former president Donald Trump had been arrested for a failed coup attempt on the Venezuelan government in 2020.
Jordan Goudreau, 48, who was arrested in New York is accused of attempting to rally Venezuelan army deserters in an attempt to remove Maduro from power.
The Venezuelan president is not the only person who Musk is willing to fight with.
Musk gave an update on his rumored fight with Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
"I'll fight Zuckerberg any place any time any rules," the Tesla CEO while leaving Congress after watching Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu speak.
Both Zuckerberg, 39, and Musk have recently been toying with the idea of a potential fight however, nothing has come of it.

Zuckerberg later shared an Instagram screenshot with his response reading: "Send me location."
