Armed police swarm UK shopping centre for terror drill as they storm Nando’s, Subway and Burger King
Cops carrying automatic rifles were seen taking up positions to prepare for a "marauding gunman" terror attack
ARMED Cops stormed a Nando's in the food court of a shopping centre in preparation for a "marauding gunman-style" terror attack.
Officers carrying automatic rifles scouted shops and restaurants including Subway and Burger King in the Merry Hill shopping centre near Dudley, West Midlands.
Actors posing as victims were seen lying in the floor of the building feigning injuries such as wounds from bomb explosions.
The shopping centre was closed at the time of the drill and police have said "there was no impact on the public" on Sunday night.

West Midlands Police released a series of photos showing their officers in action as they stormed through the centre.
The operation was kept a secret to allow emergency services to respond as they would in a real attack.
The exercise was one of a number carried out around the UK to test how ready forces would be to deal with a marauding gunman attack - whereby armed jihadis shoot civilians as they move through high profile buildings or parts of a city.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: "The area was tightly controlled and there was no impact on the public.
"Officers and security staff were on patrol during the night to reassure any local residents who may have been affected by increased activity, noise and presence of the emergency services."
The forces' assistant chief constable, Marcus Beale, said: ""The exercise was not based on any threat or intelligence and although it is unlikely an incident like this would occur, recent national and international events have once again highlighted the importance of public organisations testing their emergency response procedures to assure the safety of the communities we serve."
