Child abuse survivor Karen Danczuk blasts police chief’s plan to spare paedophiles jail
KAREN Danczuk has blasted a police chief as "disgusting and heartless" after he said perverts who leer at cjhild abuse images should not be prosecuted.
The Selfie Queen - who as a child was raped by her brother - hit out after Chief Constable Simon Bailey said only predators who pose a physical threat to youngsters should be charged.
Britain's top child protection cop sparked fury with his proposals earlier this week that "low risk" paedos should be rehabilitated rather than hauled to court.
Today Karen, 33, said Mr Bailey underestimated the likelihood perverts who ogle abuse pictures online will go on to molest other children.
She : "I think it's disgusting what he said, to be honest with you.
"This chap is just completely underestimating the effects of what’s actually going on here.
“If a person’s looking at this kind of stuff on the internet, it will take one day of sheer temptation (for them to attack a child)."

She added: “The most heartless thing about this is he’s kind of making a wash of it, (like it's) it’s not really a big deal, well yes it is a big deal because some poor innocent kinds are the ones who are subject (to attacks)."
Norfolk Chief Constable Mr Bailey, who has responsibility for child protection at the National Police Chiefs Council, admitted the public would be horrified by his plans.
But he claimed forces lack the resources to deal with online and historical cases of child abuse as well as current crimes.
And he wants lower-level offences decriminalised.
Mr Bailey told : “The police service is having to deal with an unprecedented volume of reports of non-recent abuse, ongoing abuse, online abuse, peer-to-peer abuse.
“We have reached saturation point.”
Reports of child abuse have soared by 80 per cent in the past three years.
Mr Bailey said: “How can we be expected to cope with all that if we are still having to deal with what I would describe as very, very low-risk offenders?”
Karen's brother Michael Burke, 38, was jailed for 15 years in December for raping her and two other victims.
She branded the monster a "selfish coward" for forcing her to relive her ordeal in court, adding: "I hope he rots in jail."
She bravely waived her anonymity to reveal how the fiend raped her three times between the ages of nine and 11, saying: "He robbed me of my childhood."
