Nintendo Switch games have a VERY surprising feature designed to stop them killing people
HAVE you ever wondered what a video game tastes like?
Probably not, we’d wager, but there are some Nintendo fans who got a nasty surprise when they licked game cartridges from its new Switch console.
A journalist from the website Kotaku put a game in his gob and was shocked to find it tasted extremely bitter.
“The suggestion has been made that Nintendo purposely made the cartridges taste bad in order to prevent small children from putting them in their mouths, perhaps while crawling about the shattered glass of the Switch tablet they are too young to be trusted with,” .
You can see what happened to him in the gif below.

It later emerged that Nintendo had made its games taste bad on purpose to make sure kiddies didn’t swallow them.
“To avoid the possibility of accidental ingestion, keep the game card away from young children. A bittering agent (Denatonium Benzoate) has also been applied to the game card,” it said in a statement.
“This bittering agent is non-toxic.”
The Nintendo Switch will be released tomorrow.
