James Bond ‘Die Another Day’ model switching catwalk for council chamber to stand as Conservative politician
Catherine McQueen, who once posed for men's mags Loaded and Maxim, hopes to become a councillor in Camden, North London
VOTERS are set to be shaken and stirred after a former underwear model who had a scene in a James Bond film was unveiled as a Tory election candidate today.
Catherine McQueen, who also once posed for men's mags Loaded and Maxim, hopes to become a councillor in Camden, North London.
Catherine, 38, modelled for Ultimo lingerie and worked with Dior and Chanel in a successful catwalk career.
In 2002 she played a sexy Russian in the Ice Palace scene in the movie Die Another Day alongside Pierce Brosnan and Halle Berry.
At the time she told how she and ten other models were booked to "glam up the scene" - but sadly most of the footage did not make the final cinema cut.
Later she appeared on telly dating shows Blind Date and Channel 4's Celebrity Five Go Dating and she has also worked as a music DJ and a TV tennis reporter interviewing stars such as Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic.
Edinburgh-born Catherine plans to stand in local elections where she now lives in Camden, North London.
And locals say dry council meetings will "never be the same again" if the Bond film beauty is elected in May next year.
