Malaysian police hunt North Korean airline employee over Kim Jong-nam’s killing

Malaysian Police have issued a warrant for the employee's arrest as investigations are underway

COPS are hunting a North Korean airline worker over the death of Kim Jong-nam.

Malaysian Police have issued an arrest warrant for Kim Uk-il, 37, after the North Korean leader's half-brother was "murdered" on February 13.

Uk-il is a worker on Air Koryo, North Korea's flagship airline.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said police have asked the North Korean Foreign Ministry for their cooperation.

He added police have also asked for Hwon Kwang Song, second secretary of the North Korean embassy in Kuala Lumpur, to help with investigations.

Another North Korean man, Ri Jong Chol, was arrested over the murder and released on Friday due to insufficient evidence.

He is expected to be deported Friday evening.

A Malaysian woman and a Vietnamese woman have been charged with murder.
