A WOMAN who works at a sewage plant has revealed what it's like to have such a disgusting job.
Australian influencer Genie, who goes by 'Geniebobeanie' on TikTok, uploads videos to her 14,000 followers talking about her life working at a waste treatment facility.
She gave her followers a virtual tour of the waste treatment tanks, which she creatively calls "poo pools".
"They're not actually called that but I just call it that because, I mean, they're big pools of poop."
She added: "If I was to fall in, they probably wouldn't be able to get me out."
The social media star then described how one of the pools was bubbling because it was being "aerated".

She went on: "A not so fun fact about that is that you can't float in aerated water.
"So if I was to fall in, I would sink all the way down to the bottom and they probably wouldn't be able to get me out.
"And they don't look very deep, but they go all the way down underground. It's also all raw sewage."
Some of her popular sewage-themed videos include hit titles like 'Using the toilet at the sewage treatment plant and then running outside really fast to see if I can find it'.

In another humourous clip, she says that when she gets bored of the facility, she likes to "guess whose poop is whose".
She then points towards the sewage pits and says: "Like that big one right there might be Anna Paul's.
"That one could be Margot Robbie's.
"This whole tank is Chris Hemsworth for sure, who knows."
In another video, she shows TikTok users "the worst part" of the sewage treatment plant - "the screens".
This refers to the area where solid objects which are flushed down the drain are separated from liquid sewage.
She explains that this is done by a mechanism similar to a "big metal corkscrew", where solids get stuck and liquids continue through.
"People flush towels, kids' toys, clothing items... we found turtles in the screens before.
"Anything solid that goes down the drain or down the toilet ends up in the screens so you can probably imagine what that smells like."

Hair is also apparently a common sight - meaning someone at the sewage plant has to dig out large clumps of thousands of people's hair from the screens.
"That's probably one of the worst, like, roles that you have sometimes, if you get really unlucky," the influencer said.
Other jobs not for the faint of heart
TIDYING HOARDER HOMES
A cleaner said she relishes the world's "worst job", earning £2,600 a week tidying hoarders' homes - declaring: "The messier the better."
The Sun reported in July 2023 how Charlotte Bosanquet, 20, discovered an unlikely passion for transforming grubby homes when cleaning her parents' bathroom while growing up.
And despite studying social and criminal justice at university, she embraced her true calling when taking a cleaning job as a side hustle.
She pockets up to £2,600 each week doing what she loves best - even if some homes have rubbish piled so high it reaches the ceiling.
Charlotte, from Sydney in Australia, says she tries to clean the worst of these for free or at low prices - despite cashing in elsewhere.
And she described her toils as "therapeutic", insisting: "I always say, the dirtier the better."
DEATH-DEFYING LIGHTBULB CHANGES
And The Sun reported in July 2024 how a "nomad" who worked the most dangerous job in the world insists it was worth it for the huge pay cheque - despite the risk of plunging to his death.
Brandyn Wood scaled monstrous 1200ft structures to fix internet and data towers and change lightbulbs to fund his dream of travelling the globe.
The 33-year-old Floridian used to be a tower climber - a perilous career choice which claims hundreds of lives per year.
Stomach-churning images show the dare-devil donning dark shades as he hangs in a harness hundreds of feet high and stands atop a tower giving a thumbs-up.
Brandyn has previously witnessed terrifying accidents and faced extreme weather conditions but, now, he can now kick back, relax, and enjoy the fruits of his labour.
He told The Sun of a friend who lost 60 per cent function in his arm after his rope snapped and he fell from a height, severing his arm as he landed on a glass of water.
DIARRHOEA ROLLERCOASTER
A theme park worker who operated the rides revealed the worst things that ever happened while on the job - including a guest who had diarrhoea on the rollercoaster.
In a thread on Reddit called "Amusement park employees of Reddit, what is your horror story?", staff shared the worst moments from their jobs, The Sun reported in 2021.
One person said that during a particularly hot day he was manning a ride, and one person pooed all over one of the seats.
"I operated a few different roller coasters during my fun-filled summers at this amusement park, but most of my horror stories come from one ride in particular. The train was one of the ones that you had to step into, with a lap bar restraint.
"Instead of a normal puke situation, I found a greenish-brown liquid spread all throughout the front car, from the seat down to the floor.
"Whoever was the last person to ride the ride had s*** all over themselves and hadn’t bothered to tell anyone about it.
"Cleaning human faeces is one thing - it’s absolutely disgusting but it can be done.
"But trying to clean up human diarrhoea in 100+ degree weather, off of the floor of a car where you had to kneel down and stick your head into the car to reach the very front, is a situation that I never would have imagined even in my worst nightmares."
