Peru Two drugs mule Michaella McCollum goes from Spain to Sports Direct as ex-jailbird is in line for Big Brother role
PERU Two drug mule Michaella McCollum bags a few bargains on a shopping trip — after we revealed she is in talks to be in the next series of Big Brother.
The ex-jailbird, 24 — who stands to make £50,000 from reality shows and a book deal — was spotted leaving with a bag of goods from Sports Direct near her home in Belfast.
Perhaps she was after some new undies to wear on the show after hearing Sports Direct owner Mike Ashley has bought saucy lingerie brand Agent Provocateur.
Michaella returned home to Northern Ireland six months ago after spending three years in prison in Peru along with her pal Melissa Reid, also 24.
And she has been enjoying her freedom in the past week by sunning herself on the beaches of Spain.
She was photographed in swimwear and revealing gym kit on a trip to Majorca — which showbiz sources said was a bid to raise her profile and launch a career as a reality star.

Yesterday we told how Michaella and Melissa are in "advance talks" to appear in the new series of Big Brother, which has a pairs theme.
The civilian version of the Channel 5 show is currently on the hunt for “outgoing pairs” who “fancy themselves as TV’s next duo”.
A source revealed: “Michaella has made no secret of her dream to become a reality TV star.
“She’s spent the last six months trying to build up her profile and her image – and just days ago she was even snapped on the beach in a very revealing swimming costume.
“It’s all part of her bid to get her name out there in the lead up to returning to our screens – this time on an entertainment show, not BBC news.
“Big Brother producers have been chatting to her about getting her on the next series of the show, which is a pairs theme.
“Her accomplice Melissa is less excited by the whole showbiz world but, because of the pairs theme, producers think they would be the ideal signing.
“They think the girls will help to stir up some excitement and chatter for the new series, as well as bring some glamour and drama.”
Michaella was previously in talks to join Celebrity Big Brother after she was released from a Peruvian jail last April.
She's not afraid to be in the public eye having been snapped earlier this year supporting Ireland during their clash with France wearing just a rugby shirt and towering heels.
She was also pictured holidaying in Spain last month in a host of skimpy outfits.
Michaella, from Northern Ireland, and Melissa, from Glasgow, were caught trying to smuggle 11kg of cocaine worth £1.5million from Peru to gangs in Spain.
They spent three years inside a mosquito-infested cell with scores of other women.
They claimed they had been forced into carrying the drugs by an armed gang and only agreed because their lives were threatened.
But their story soon began to unravel and Melissa later confessed: “I made a conscious decision to do it and no one forced me.”
