Sir Keir Starmer enjoys day at races with wife as row erupts over clothes given to her by Labour donor
This year Lord Alli gave Sir Keir £18,685 worth of work clothes and several pairs of glasses
THE PM had a day at the races with his wife yesterday — as a row erupts over clothes given to her by a Labour donor.
Sir Keir was accused of breaking parliamentary rules for failing to declare Lord Waheed Alli bought items for Lady Victoria.
It comes after revealed last month the peer was given a No 10 pass despite not having a government role.
The PM — at Doncaster races yesterday hours after returning from a US summit — could now face a probe.
No 10 said: “We sought advice and believed we had been compliant.
“However, following further investigation this month, we’ve declared further items.”
This year Lord Alli, ex-chairman of fast fashion firm Asos, gave Sir Keir £18,685 worth of work clothes and several pairs of glasses.
A Tory Party spokesman said: “There must be a full investigation into the passes for glasses scandal.”
The PM is fresh from discussions with US officials over the Ukraine conflict.
Keir Starmer was locked in talks with Joe Biden over letting Ukraine attack Russia with British missiles.
Their White House summit came as Russia kicked out six British diplomats.
The Foreign Office said the expulsions over spying allegations were “completely baseless”, as tensions heightened.
