Five treated by medics & 7 cars damaged after ‘teens on mopeds throw acid’ as kids arrive for football practice at park
FIVE people have been treated by emergency services and seven cars were damaged in an apparent "acid attack".
Horrified parents watched as youngsters on a moped threw a substance over the vehicles in Corby, Northamptonshire.
Armed police and ambulance crews rushed to the Burghley Road playing fields at 6.30pm on September 18.
Young people had been arriving to train with Hellenic Fisher FC at the time, the reported.
Witnesses said they saw up to four motorbikes, mopeds and e-bikes roar across the fields before one stopped and the people on it threw a substance over seven cars.
Five people were treated by the emergency services at the scene before being released.

They tried to hose off the liquid to help the cars' occupants before realising it had an acidic smell, reports say.
Further tests will be carried out tomorrow, but it is believed that the substance was a kind of solvent or hydrochloric acid.
Corby Police Sergeant Keely Cox said: "We are using all our resources this evening to catch the perpetrators. We do not believe this was a targeted attack.
"Five people have been treated although there are thankfully no serious injuries.

"This is exactly the kind of serious incident that Operation Pacify has been set up to prevent and we will do everything we can to try to catch those responsible.”
Russell Dickinson owned one of the most seriously damaged cars.
Russell, a coach at the local club, was able to drive the vehicle away after it was hosed down by firemen.
