Meghan Markle channels Princess Diana as she wears a bindi on humanitarian visit to India
Prince Harry's girlfriend was in Mumbai and Delhi to raise awareness of and help fight stigma about menstruation in India
PRINCE HARRY’s girlfriend Meghan Markle flew out to India on a charity trip to help the plight of young girls and women.
Sharing the humanitarian spirit of her Royal beau and his late mother Princess Diana, Meghan travelled to Delhi and Mumbai this January.
Meghan wore a bindi on her forehead, just as Princess Diana did in India in 1992, as she showed her support for US aid organisation World Vision.
She was visiting Delhi and Mumbai to help fight against the stigma around menstruation and understand the knock on effect on women.
The glamourous actress, 35, travelled with children’s charity World Vision and met girls directly impacted by the stigmatisation.

She also met health volunteers in the slums who informed her about how if affects girls’ education.
She said: “Many girls believe their bodies are purging evil spirits, or that they are injured once a month; this is a shame-filled reality they quietly endure.”
Meghan penned a moving article about her experiences on her blog the Tig, where she talked about the need to improve sanitisation and education to help young affected women.
