Two Samsung Galaxy Note devices were found - one in Oran's bedroom and another in his possession, according to the criminal complaint obtained by The U.S. Sun.

"A review of the SD card located in Device-1 revealed that it contained hundreds of child pornography files," prosecutors wrote.

"These files include videos from a known child pornography series created outside the state of North Carolina."

Graphic descriptions of the videos, as well as a chat Oran had with someone in July who was advertising the sale of the pornographic content, were detailed in the complaint.

The search was done "in connection with an investigation unrelated to child exploitation," investigators said.

confirmed that the search was related to Oran's father, who remains jailed pending trial following his attempted assassination of Trump at his West Palm Beach, Florida golf course on September 15.

Oran - who is due in court later on Tuesday - spoke out in the days following his father's arrest, saying his dad "hated" Trump as "every reasonable person does."

"He's not a violent person," Oran told the about his father.

'DEAR WORLD'

The elder Routh appeared in court on Monday for a bail hearing.

He was denied bail hours after prosecutors cited a letter he wrote as evidence for keeping him behind bars until his trial.

The letter, addressed, "Dear World," offered $150,000 to "finish the job," allegedly referring to the assassination of the Republican presidential nominee.

Along with the note was a box filled with ammunition and a metal pipe as well as other items.

The evidence was turned over to prosecutors by a witness who received the note and box several months ago but only opened it after Ryan was identified in the September 15 incident.

Prosecutors revealed their intention to ask a grand jury to indict Ryan on criminal charges for the assassination attempt on Trump, 78.

Records showed Ryan camped out at the golf course for about 12 hours before his gun was spotted in the bushes.

Ryan Routh's letter

The Justice Department released a chilling letter from would-be assassin Ryan Wesley Routh about his plan to kill Donald Trump on Monday.

"Dear world," the note began.

"This was an assassination attempt on Donald Trump but I failed you. I tried my best and gave it all the gumption I could muster.

"It is up to you now to finish the job; and I will offer $150,000 to whomever can complete the job.

"Everyone across the globe from the youngest to the oldest know that Trump is unfit to be anything, much less a U.S. president.

"US presidents must at bare minimum embody the moral fabric that is America, and be kind, caring and selfless and always stand for humanity.

"Trump fails to understand any of [that]," the letter concluded.

He was within 500 yards of the former president when agents fired on him, prompting him to flee the scene.

Secret Service agents rushed Trump from the scene.

Trump has since been granted increased Secret Service protections thanks to a bipartisan bill passed in the House of Representatives on September 20.
