Pamela Anderson’s mum insists her daughter is NOT dating Julian Assange after Baywatch star called him ‘sexy’ and ‘my Julian’ in her blog
Pamela Anderson's mum has insisted she is NOT dating Wikileaks chief Julian Assange after the Baywatch star called him "sexy" and "my Julian" in her blog.
In an exclusive chat with Sun Online Carol Anderson insisted her "very intelligent" daughter was interested in the controversial figure, who remains holed up in the Ecuadorian embassy, because he is "very smart".
Her comments come after the former Baywatch star sparked romance rumours as she made several visits to the embassy clutching food parcels before writing about Assange, 45, in her blog under the title "My Julian".
Anderson, 49, wrote: "Julian Assange is the most intelligent, interesting, and informed man in existence.
"Yes - I think he's quite sexy.
"He has tremendous strength and stamina - though vulnerable."
But Carol has denied the pair are anything more than friends - despite Assange telling a radio show Pamela was "attractive" and "whip-smart".
She said: "Well she's a very intelligent young lady, so if she's decided that she needs to talk to him or whatever is going on is her decision. I'm sure there's a reason, it's not dating though.
"I think she's just interested, he's supposed to be very smart and she likes talking to people that have an opinion and that are smart, so she's probably enjoying the conversations."

On Thursday night Anderson was then spotted making a late night visit to see Assange after she appeared as a guest on The Nightly Show singing his praises.
Carol admitted she is yet to discuss Pamela's feelings for Assange with her.
She added: "I haven't talked to Pamela about any of that, so I don't want to say anything but I know she has talked to him, so have a lot of people."
The mum-of-two, who lives in Nanaimo, British Columbia, insists her daughter is currently single and said her multiple visits have been sparked by her passion to "save the world".
She said: "[She’s] giving all her strength and everything to saving the planet, the boys (her two sons) are doing good so now she's moved on to the planet, trying to save everybody."
Asked if she thinks Assange could be a good match for her daughter, she laughed: "I'm not going to go there, no... she's never said to me what her match is. I'm sure it's just talking about different things going on, that's all."
Assange has been holed up in the embassy in London's for almost five years after being accused of rape - with Pamela having made several visits.
He is wanted for questioning in Sweden over the 2010 allegation and avoided extradition by moving into the Embassy in June 2012.
Pamela has been pictured carrying in meals for the famous hacker, with one political activist commenting recently: “She seems to be wearing sexier outfits every time she visits”.
On Thursday the Baywatch beauty - who's been married four times to three different men - posted the gushing journal post after WikiLeaks released more than 8,000 pages of documents detailing how the CIA breaks into computers, smartphones, messaging applications and even television sets.
In the lengthy post Pamela says Assange is "up against the biggest super powers in the world" adding "I've spent enough time with him, to be absolutely sure of his intentions - They are good ones."
She ends the post with: "Thank you to my heroes at Wikileaks, and of course - I will always stand by My Julian..."
In a radio interview last week the star said: "I've spent more time talking to Julian than all of my ex-husbands combined."
Asked if she had kissed the 45-year-old Australian, she giggled and said: “It was never the intention to become romantic. It was just to join forces to do something important. Things happen, for sure.”
In 2014 Pamela claimed she was molested by a female babysitter as a young child, raped by a friend’s older brother when she was 12, and later gang raped.
Having branded the allegations made against Assange "ridiculous" Pamela last month said her friendship with him has inspired her to campaign for men falsely accused of rape.
She said: "I'm going to actually start campaigning for men who have been victims of being accused of rape when they haven't done anything.... in this case obviously it’s a lot of politics and I think Sweden doesn't really know what to do and we have to just make it known the findings in the case, because when you read the actual case and you read everything about it there's no crime that's been committed."
Speaking on UK Russian news show Going Underground, she added: “I think he's an incredible person, he's very, very important and we have to support him in every way we can, so I'm going to be relentless and let people know what I know.”

"Julian Assange is the most intelligent, interesting, and informed man in existence. Yes- I think he's quite sexy.
"He has tremendous strength and stamina- though vulnerable."
"I've spent enough time with him, to be absolutely sure of his intentions - they are good ones."
"There is no rape - it is a case of condom or not. It is ridiculous."
The truth is a powerful and wonderful thing. As humiliating as it might be for those being exposed.
"I am forever grateful to all whistle-blowers. (Who risk everything for us.)
"The world is a safer place because of you."
"Thank you to my hero's at Wikileaks, and of course - I will always stand by My Julian ..."
Pamela also laughed off the idea she and Assange are Russian spies.
She said: “Well I think that's comical and also is very distracting, and it's just another distraction to get away from the actual information he's supplying in the cables.
"That's one, I think, American kind of tactic, when thinks get a little uncomfortable they tend to blame Russia, then everybody kind of jumps on that bandwagon.”
The pair may have bonded over a shared interest in Russia. Assange is thought to be well-connected to the Kremlin and a lot of his leaked materials are said to come from Russian hackers.
Meanwhile Pamela was the star attraction at a 2015 trade show in Vladivostok and later visited the Kremlin to discuss Russia’s wildlife conservation policies with Vladmir Putin’s chief of staff, Sergei Ivanov.
Carol told Sun Online that Pamela has been an animal activist since she was little, she said: “Yes, she was always into saving animals.
“She's always trying to do right by the planet, right by the animals, and battered woman and abused children, save the trees, save the world.
“I’m very proud of her and everything that she stands for and what she's doing. We need more people like her.”
Pamela’s latest movie role is a cameo in the upcoming Baywatch movie coming out in May and starring The Rock Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron.
Carol revealed her grandson Brandon, 20, also has a cameo in the film, she said: “My grandson's in it too, Brandon. He had to try out for it and there was a lot of people trying out for it so I think he got that under his own esteem. I think he's in a rescue scene way out in the ocean but I'm not sure.”
Carol said Pamela wasn’t sure about taking a part in the film herself but agreed to it because the show launched her into a superstar.
She said: “She wasn't going to be in it… but she started her career, well she started it with Playboy, but she thought being a little cameo part in it for her would be cute so that's why she did it.
“It’s just a cameo appearance and she enjoyed doing it. She was in Baywatch for how many years, so it was right that she made at least a cameo appearance in the movie.”
Carol recalled how she would babysit for Pamela's sons Brandon and Dylan while she filmed Baywatch.
She said: “Baywatch did a lot for her, it launched her career, we (her and husband Barry) were there and looked after the babies, she just had Brandon right then. And we looked after him while she was doing that.
"She enjoyed it, that was the start of her career, it was a lot of hard work diving into a cold ocean every morning, but I'm glad we were there for that.”
