A LOVE-struck man has launched a search for a woman he met in the hope of finding romance - by placing a note on a city lamppost.
The man was keen to get in contact with the woman - known has Holly - but was devastated to find he had lost her number.
So he wrote a note in a desperate attempt to find her and taped it to a lamppost in the city centre of Aberdeen to let Holly know he still wants to get in touch.
And the romantic Romeo has now become the talk of the city after a resident spotted his unusual Rose Street appeal and posted a photo of it on Facebook.
Ritsa Auṃkāra stated in her post that the mystery man's search for his real-life cinderella was "so cute".
She said: "Thought maybe we all can give a lil help to Mr. M to find Holly? Will keep the post public, so please share & hopefully the right Holly gets the message."
The man, known only as M, has written a cryptic clue on his note to help Holly find him if she is interested in a date but it is not clear how long he will wait.
The note states: "Holly. I lost your number!
"I'll be where we first met, every evening at 11pm."
