The Independent Office for Police Conduct has also been notified.

It follows a "great" young footballer who died in a horror crash after his motorcycle collided with a van.

Harvey Wilson was on his green Kawasaki in West Walton when it was involved in an accident with a Renault van at the junction of Wisbech Road and Church End, close to the Cambridgeshire border.

The 19-year-old was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where he succumbed to a traumatic head injury a few hours later on July 8.

Following his death, friends and family raised £1,725 for the East Anglian Air Ambulance and shared their tributes online.

One read: "A leader, a great sense of humour and I loved watching him play football and the many 60/40 tackles in the favour of the opponent! RIP Harv."

"We have some great memories with you Harvey, such a great lad." said another.

"We send our love to you and your family."

While a third wrote: "Sending our love and support from all the boys that played with Harvey for Mildenhall Town FC and from the Coaches and parents.

"Harvey will always be remembered and missed by us all."

It comes after a single teenage dad has been left in a coma and may never walk or talk again after a horror motorbike crash.

And a bride-to-be has died in a tragic accident after her motorbike crashed into a car, leaving her heartbroken family.
