Cops and ambulance rush to London Bridge ‘after person falls in River Thames’

COPS and an ambulance have rushed to London Bridge after a person reportedly fell in the River Thames.

A person was taken to hospital after reportedly falling off a pier by the bridge at 1.33pm this afternoon.

Witnesses on the bridge say they saw someone fall into the river this afternoon.

Snaps taken by onlookers show two police cars and an ambulance parked on the side of the bridge.

Scotland Yard and the London Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment.

The London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 1.33pm today to reports of an incident at London Bridge City Pier, SE1.

“We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew and an incident response officer.”

A spokesperson added: “We treated a patient at the scene and took them to hospital.”
