Grandmother ‘battered in own home by savage thugs who smashed her with a table leg and dragged her down stairs’

SHOCKING pictures show the horrific injuries a grandmother suffered after she claims she was attacked by two thugs in her own home.
Theresa Campbell suffered a number of serious injuries, including broken ribs, black eyes and a broken nose during the alleged beating.
The 46-year-old was left "black and blue" after claiming she was beaten with a table leg before being dragged down the stairs.
The alleged assault happened in the Viewpark area of Uddingston, South Lanarkshire, on Saturday.
Theresa said: "I let them in and they followed me into the house then set about me."
She said she has now been left housebound for fear of leaving her home.
Theresa added: "I'm feeling very sore and in fear. I have my family and friends at the house all the time now.
"I haven't been able to leave the house since Saturday. I'm too scared."
Theresa has three children and six grandchildren who are now worried about her welfare.

Theresa's daughter, Stacey Clements, 26, shared the horrific images of her injuries on social media, adding: "It breaks my heart to write this, but people need to know what these low life scum did to my mother.
"They beat her black and blue - she has broken ribs and a very sore face. Theses low life scum hurt my mum so bad she will be mentally and physically scarred for life.
"I want everyone to know what they have done to my mother who would never hurt a fly."
Stacey, who now lives in Australia, has set up a JustGiving page to raise money for her mother.
On the fundraising page, she wrote: "Please help to bring a bit of comfort to this poor soul. Dig deep to show there are good people hurting for her.
"My heart breaks for anyone facing terror like this but even more so to know that she was attacked in her own home."
The appeal has so far raised £718 from a target of £1,500 which Stacey says would pay for a phone for her mum to make her feel safer.
A police spokeswoman said a 20-year-old had been arrested on suspicion of assault and was due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Monday.
