Khalid Masood kept maps and photos of Westminster in ‘war room’ bedsit
The finds hint that Masood spent the last days before the London attack planning his final deadly route in detail
TERRORIST Khalid Masood kept maps and photos of Westminster in his “war room” bedsit.
Cops searching the dingy flat found the print-outs hours after the attack.
Sources said the finds hinted Masood, 52, had spent the last days before the atrocity planning his final deadly route in detail.
A source revealed: “The documents included photos of Parliament and maps of Westminster Bridge and the surrounding area. It suggests planning rather than a sudden angry act.”
He is thought to have rented the Birmingham room weeks earlier. But neighbours say they rarely saw Masood, whose main family home was in Hockley, three miles away.

The source added: “There is a theory it was used as a war room of sorts, where he could plot away from prying eyes.”
It has also emerged he drove at up to 76mph into pedestrians on Westminster Bridge. And reports suggested his 4x4 Hyundai Tucson was seen cruising nearby just before.
Masood left four dead and 50 others hurt, some with “life-changing” injuries. His attack took just 82 seconds before he too was gunned down by armed cops.
