Lingerie mogul Michelle Mone teases Twitter followers that she’s tempted to replace Nicola Sturgeon as Scotland’s First Minister

The millionaire Baroness hinted about advancing her political career after a supporter tweeted about her appearance on Good Morning Britain

FORMER lingerie tycoon Michelle Mone has revealed she’s “tempted” to run for the job of Scotland’s First Minister.

The 45-year-old responded to a Twitter user this morning who suggested that she should take over the reigns from Nicola Sturgeon.

responded: “I'm tempted Irene.”

The comments were made after the former Ultimo tycoon appeared on Good Morning Britain today saying that Sturgeon should “stick to her day job” and claiming Scotland is not ready for another referendum.

 

 

The suggestion didn't leave everyone so enamoured.

One critic wrote on Twitter: “You should stick to what you know hen, t***, because you made the biggest t** of yourself this morning on GMTV.”

And Kelly Willows said: “Michelle Mone telling Nicola Sturgeon to stick to the day job. Exactly what she's doing you Tory puppet.”

Another Twitter user, reacting to the earlier "Trump can do it" comment, said: “Because we now have firm evidence idiots will vote for other idiots?”

Yesterday Ms Sturgeon held talks with Mrs May in Scotland - where the PM warned the First Minister she would never allow Britain to become "looser and weaker".

During crunch meetings in Glasgow yesterday, the PM insisted: "my position isn't going to change".

She has repeatedly said that the time is not right for a second referendum on independence.
