Charles Bronson’s soap-star fiancée is ‘obsessed with Moors Murderer pen pal Ian Brady’
CHARLES Bronson’s soap actress fiancée previously struck up a bizarre friendship with Moors murderer Ian Brady.
The Sun revealed last month that Paula Williamson, 36, and Bronson, 64, had got engaged after a five-month romance.
She insisted it was not a stunt — but pals say she was obsessed with killer paedophile Brady, now 78, a year earlier.
The pair exchanged a series of letters and gifts before a request for her to visit him at high security psychiatric facility Ashworth Hospital was declined by bosses.
Williamson, who appeared in Emmerdale and Corrie, even got a watch as a gift from him.
A friend said: “Paula is adamant she has true love with Bronson, but the fact she targeted Brady before has led some to wonder what her motivation is.
“She seems to be working her way through a list of the most dangerous men in the country.”

But she was forced to defend herself against accusations the relationship was a publicity stunt.
She told The Sun: “We are so in love.
“I’ve had relationships with both men and women in the past but none of them come close to my love for Charlie.
“He’s so eccentric, but so am I. It’s a perfect match.”
Sick fiend Brady and partner Myra Hindley, dubbed the Moors Murderers, were behind the cruel deaths of five children between 1963 and 1965.
Brady spent 19 years in mainstream prison before his diagnosis as a psychopath in 1985, resulting in him being moved to Ashworth Hospital.
