XL Bully owner ‘wasn’t bothered’ as hell hound attacked girl, 12, and left her with horror injuries as he pleads guilty

AN XL Bully owner "wasn't bothered" as his dog heinously attacked a 12-year-old girl and left her with "horrendous" injuries.

Justin Allison, 37, "wouldn't do anything" as his dog ran towards the girl and latched onto her arm.

The girl was rushed to hospital and had to undergo surgery to repair tendons in her arm. She also suffered nasty cuts to her back.

Allison today admitted being in charge of a dog that was dangerously out of control causing injury, possessing a dangerous dog and possessing an offensive weapon in a private place.

Newport Magistrates' Court heard the young girl had been out walking with her dad in Nantyglo, South Wales, when she spotted the XL Bully "running very fast towards her".

As the off-lead dog got closer, it began growling and the frightened girl ran towards her dad.

But the dog leaped onto her back and latched onto her arm.

The animal, Rocco, was on her arm "for a matter of seconds" before the girl's dad rushed to her aid.

He began wrestling the dog when Allison finally appeared nearby.

Lisa Lewis, prosecuting, told the court: "The girl described him as not being bothered to help her dad while she was shouting in the middle of the road.

"She managed to push her dad in the direction of the owner and he managed to put a lead on the dog."

"He did not offer any assistance at all.

"The girl's mam arrived and had a go at the defendant asking why there was no muzzle on the dog.

"The dog then tried to go for her mum, but thankfully the defendant told the mum to go away and pulled the dog back."

After the incident on October 7, Allison told the family he would be at his home nearby if anyone needed him.

The court heard the girl was healing well physically but the psychological impact was not yet clear.

Allison surrendered the dog following his arrest, which was then put down.

He will be sentenced next month.

However, Allison was today sentenced for driving under the influence of drugs in May this year.

Allison was seen driving a black Audi A4 at speed into the car park of Lakeside retail park in Brynmawr.

After he and another man walked from the Audi into an Asda store, an officer entered the car's number plate into the police national computer and found it did not have third party insurance.

The officer then noticed Allison was "sweaty and pale with dilated pupils".

A test revealed he had 240 micrograms of the cocaine metabolite benzoylecgonine per litre of blood - nearly five times the legal limit of 50 micrograms.

Allison pleaded guilty to drug-driving with no licence or insurance.

The defendant, who is unemployed and lived with his grandparents, was banned from driving for 16 months and fined £120.
