BENDGATE 2.0

Nintendo fans claim their Switch consoles are ‘bending’ after heavy use

Gamers say the handheld bit of the new console is warping after long periods of play

NINTENDO fans are complaining that their Nintendo Switch consoles are bending after heavy use.

The bizarre claims follow the famous "Bendgate" when Apple's iPhone 6 smartphones began bending after people placed them in their pockets.

Nintendo fans were already complaining that their pricey consoles (costing around £280 a pop) were getting scratched thanks to the console's docking system.

The Switch is made up of the removable hand-held console (which looks like a tablet), two detachable joysticks and a charging dock.

Picture showed that several of the docks appeared to be bent, causing them to mark the fragile screens.

Now it appears as if there is an issue with the handheld console itself.

A Nintendo customer posted a picture to Reddit, writing: "The Nintendo switch is starting to warp while only being in dock mode.

"I am ULTRA careful with all my electronics, and this is no exception.

"I snapped the controls on and pulled it out of the dock and it kinda stuck, and when I set it on the kitchen table and it did the whole wobble thing (like that one chair at that one restaurant that you always seem to sit in no matter what and no amount of folded up coasters will fix it kinda wobble thing)."

Nintendo appeared to yank its Switch docks from the supermarket shelves after complaints, but it has not confirmed issues with the Switch console.
