Woman, 33, arrested for Christmas Day ‘murder’ after man in his 30s found dead at home
A 33-YEAR-OLD woman has been arrested on suspicion of murder after man in his 30s was found dead at a home on Christmas Day.
Police were called around 3.25am today to Elm Road in Norton Canes, Staffordshire, after a report of a man in his thirties in cardiac arrest.
Despite the best efforts of emergency services at the scene, the man passed away a short while later, said Staffordshire Police.
His next of kin have been informed and are now being supported by specially-trained officers.
A 33-year-old woman from Cannock has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
She remains in police custody, said Staffordshire Police.
The investigation is expected to remain for a number of days.
A post mortem is scheduled to take place on Boxing Day morning.
Staffordshire Police say local residents will see an increased presence of neighbourhood officers in the area.
The force have urged anyone with information to come forward.
