Petra Grant was left inconsolable following news of the Christmas Day attack, which also left a man and teen lad seriously injured.

HORROR SCENES

One neighbour said: “They have had a party of some sort. We saw them all arriving in the morning with presents.

“At around 6pm a lady has come onto the balcony screaming, ‘I can’t breathe, I can’t breathe.’

“Moments later the teenager has come out the front door screaming and shouting - it was like a horror movie.

“He’s been stabbed in the chest and the head - he’s tried to block the knife and all his fingers are hanging off.

“Then the dog ran out - it was a little white dog, but you couldn’t tell because it was covered in blood.

“It kept running off and coming back - Joanne and that dog were inseparable.”

The stricken youngster sought refuge in a nearby house - forcing the terrified family inside to lock their doors.
