Tributes to ‘hero’ dad, 37, hit and killed by car outside pub on Christmas Day as cops launch murder probe
TRIBUTES have poured in for a "hero" dad who died after being hit by a car Christmas day - with cops treating it as a suspected murder.
Kirk Marsden was struck outside the Gate bar on Moorgate street in Blackburn on Wednesday, where he suffered serious injuries.
He died on Boxing Day morning at Royal Preston Hospital.
Kirk's family said he was "a well-loved son, brother and uncle who will be sorely missed".
They said: "Rest with your dad now in heaven."
The family added: "To our hero, spread your wings far and wide, your partner Leanne and your babies love you millions.

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a man who was hit by a car on Christmas day.
A 58-year-old man and a 31-year-old man from Blackburn are being questioned in custody.
A police spokesperson said the case was being treated as an "isolated incident".

He added: "I am aware that news of this incident will cause some concern in the community. I’d like to reassure everyone that we have increased reassurance patrols in the area.”
