Schoolgirl, 15, among seven arrested on suspicion of murder after teenager, 18, stabbed to death as cops launch probe
A 15-YEAR-OLD schoolgirl is among seven people who have been arrested by cops after a teenager was stabbed to death.
Officers were called to Rose Avenue in Ilkeston, Derbyshire, after an 18-year-old man was found with a stab wound at 8.20pm yesterday.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics at the scene, the victim died just before 9pm on Saturday.
A murder investigation was launched by Derbyshire Police and four 17-year-old boys were arrested on suspicion of killing the man.
A 52-year-old man, 15-year-old girl and a 16-year-old girl were also arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
All seven people remained in police custody whilst officers continued their enquiries at the scene today.

Police said the victim's family had been informed and were being assisted by specially trained officers.
The name of the man has not been disclosed.
Pictures from the residential street showed the area cordoned off with police tape and a blue tent was visible in the middle of the road.
As the investigation continues, the force has launched an appeal to the public for any information that will assist them.

Detective Chief Inspector Claudia Musson, from the East Midlands Special Operation Unit, said it was being treated as an "isolated incident".
She said in a statement: "We are in the very early stages of the investigation and we are treating it as an isolated incident.
"We are keen for anyone with information to contact us as a matter of urgency to assist with the inquiry into the death of this young man."
Police vehicles remained at the scene on Sunday morning, with a number of roads cordoned off around Heanor Road.
Detectives are seeking CCTV, doorbell footage and any dashcam footage between the times of 7pm and 9pm in the areas of Heanor Road, Rose Avenue, Summerfields Way, Kedleston Drive and Peveril Drive.
