The alleged attack took place after Miami Heat's NBA Finals game against the Denver Nuggets on June 9.

The woman alleged McGregor's security team - Kesaya Center staff - stopped her friend from entering a stall to help her.

She claimed the Irishman took her to a VIP men's bathroom before launching his alleged attack.

The woman claimed the martial arts fighter was intoxicated and "out of control" at the time he allegedly tried to force her to perform a sex act on him "without her consent".

She then claims she was thrown face first against wall and put in "an arm lock" as he allegedly attempted to rape her.

The UFC fighter then allegedly threw her "against the wall face first" and spit on her when she tried to leave.

The plaintiff claims she has suffered "physical, psychological and emotional damages".

It comes after the woman, who has been described as a 49-year-old who works on Wall Street, filed a criminal sexual assault allegation.

A report was made to City of Miami Police, but criminal charges were dropped, according to the Florida State Attorney's Office.

Her attorney, Jim Dunn, released a statement after the lawsuit was filed.

Dana White breaks silence on Conor McGregor's UFC future after civil court case verdict

It read: "My client has thought long and hard about the decision to pursue this civil case, and is fearful of the effect it may have on her job on Wall Street.

"Nonetheless, her main goal in filing this suit is to raise awareness and encourage others to report sexual assault."

Barbara Llanes, McGregor's attorney, also released a statement to ESPN after the civil lawsuit was filed.

It read: "After a thorough investigation at the time, the State's Attorney concluded that there was no case to pursue.

"Almost two years and at least three lawyers later the plaintiff has a new false story. We are confident that this case too will be dismissed."

McGregor has denied the allegations.

The alleged victim is seeking damages including compensation and medical costs.

She has also filed a lawsuit against Heat Game, and accused staff of negligence.

Her lawsuit points to when McGregor punched the Heats Mascot 'Bernie' on court during the match.

McGregor was brought on at the half-time interval and knocked down the mascot with a pre-planned punch.

But his follow-up strike on the ground was said to have left Burnie needing medical treatment at the nearby hospital.

That's according to , who claimed he was transported to "the emergency room of a nearby hospital for treatment."

The woman's lawsuit claimed arena staff gave McGregor preferential treatment after the incident.

The file alleged employees ignored a "heightened risk of battery being carried out".

It comes after McGregor insisted last year he will appeal another civil court jury's verdict that he assaulted a woman in a Dublin hotel room.

Nikita Hand accused the Irish mixed martial arts fighter of "brutally raping and battering" her after a Christmas night out in December 2018.

The Irish sports star - who arrived in court hand in hand with his partner Dee Devlin - claimed he had consensual sex with Ms Hand at the Beacon Hotel.

On November 22 a jury in the civil case against McGregor decided he did assault Ms Hand.

He was ordered to pay her nearly 250,000 euros (£207k).
