Who is Jake Fahri AKA rapper Ten? Jimmy Mizen’s murderer who boasts about murder in rap lyrics

Jake’s songs brag about seeing a 'man’s soul fly from his eyes'

JAKE Fahri AKA Ten is a rapper who was jailed for the 2008 murder of schoolboy Jimmy Mizen.

And he's back behind bars after The Sun passed a dossier of evidence to the Ministry of Justice proving he'd breached parole.

Jake Fahri was arrested and recalled by police on January 16, 2025.

The reasons behind the 35-year-old's incarceration are believed to be his lack of remorse, the nature of his lyrics and that he visited an area he was banned from as part of his parole conditions.

The news came after The Sun exclusively unmasked him as a rapper promoted on BBC shows.

A Probation Service spokesperson told The Sun: “Our thoughts are with Jimmy Mizen’s family who deserve better than to see their son’s murderer shamelessly boasting about his violent crime.

“All offenders released on licence are subject to strict conditions. As this case shows, we will recall them to prison if they break the rules.”

Jimmy's mum Margaret Mizen explained on January 16 that she believed one of the rapper's videos violated his parole: “He is not allowed in certain boroughs. Greenwich is one of them.”

Murder in Lee Green

On May 10, 2008, Fahri stabbed 16-year-old schoolboy Jimmy Mizen in a bakery, in Lee Green, London.

Jimmy was the child of practising Catholics Barry and Margaret Mizen, and was known in the community for being an altar boy who stood at 6 feet and 4 inches.

Fahri handed himself into police three days after the attack, and reportedly said: "Someone has died because of me. I didn't mean it, I didn't mean to kill him."

He claims that he attacked Jimmy with an advertising sign, but, when the teen managed to get a hold of the sign, Fahri struck him with a glass dish.

A shard from the dish severed several vital arteries, resulting in Jimmy's death.

After their son's death, Barry and Margaret opened a cafe in Hither Green which was run by Jimmy's older brother.

The cafe is next-door to the Jimmy Mizen Foundation which runs a variety of community projects in the area.

Their work has earned Barry and Margaret an MBE and the pair have been recognised as among Britain's most influential Roman Catholics.

Fahri was found guilty of Jimmy's murder and was handed a life sentence with a minimum of 14 years behind bars.

Fahri's chilling lyrics

Since his release from prison in 2023, Fahri has embarked on a rap career under the name TEN.

Several of his songs have proved to be controversial because of their violent lyrical content.

In one song, he says: “Stuck it on a man and watched him melt like Ben and Jerry’s.

“Sharpen up my blade I’ve got to keep those necessary.

“Stay alert and kept it ready, any corner could be deadly."

“Judge took a look at me, before the trial even started he already knows he’s gonna throw the book at me”.

In another, Fahri raps: “See a man’s soul fly from his eyes and his breath gone.

“S***, I wanted more, it made it less wrong.

The lyrical content of Fahri's work was then handed to the Ministry of Justice, who said that they are "investigating" the case as a "priority".

Fahri's work had been previously promoted on BBC1Xtra which was hosted by DJ Theo Johnson.

After playing the rapper's song, DJ Theo said: “You see Ten, yeah, he delivers the bars in a certain way that makes him really stand out to me.

"I’m really liking what I’m hearing, when I’m hearing what he’s laying down at the moment.

“And I know my producer KC is a big fan as well, and she’s been singing his praises, and proper rocking with his tunes.”

When asked about promoting Fahri's work, the BBC said: “Decisions on music are made case by case.

'Coward'

But Jimmy's mum Margaret said: "When you're playing the songs of a murderer it's pretty bad."

She added that the MoJ has "questions to answer", describing Fahri as a "coward".

Margaret told BBC Breakfast on January 16: "To be honest with you I feel a bit numb because when we got to hear and read the story last night. I'm still taking it in I suppose.

"Bit shocked. It's very difficult to talk about your emotions and as a family we're just taking it in."

Margaret showed The Sun a slideshow of pictures dedicated to her son in the front room of her home — less than 500 yards from where the 16-year-old was tragically killed.

'Bring some good out of Jimmy's death'

She exclusively told The Sun: "For me and my family, we will continue to do what we do.

“We will bring some good out of Jimmy’s death. I will not be beaten by this man. But that’s not to say that I don’t feel like crying today.

“We share the right messages — forgiveness, peace and hope.”
